Meet Lili
Although she grew up in the American south, Lili is originally from Ontario, so her love of grizzly bears, snow, and all things Great White North runs deep. She is a freelance writer, novelist, and currently works in immigration law specializing in human rights violations. Lili lives in North Carolina with her partner, daughter, and a menagerie of animals.
Lili loves traveling, gardening, reading, spending time with her family, and of course, writing. Lili grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and has taken classes in sociology, criminology, English, and Creative Writing through both Durham Technical Community College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dakota is her first children's book, and she is currently writing her first adult novel as well.
Lili feels passionately about human rights and particularly about the current humanitarian crisis at our country's southern borders. In addition to her work with victims of human trafficking and violent crime, Lili has spent time volunteering with Team Brownsville, the Borderlands Relief Collective, and the Border Community Alliance. Lili invites you to learn more about the ongoing human rights violations occurring and ways you can help by checking out resources such as RAICES Texas, Al Otra Lado Organization, the Ajo Samaritans, and No More Deaths.
